Golden Hour Vows

The story

Sofia and Marcus wanted a wedding that felt less like an event and more like a memory already in progress — soft, unhurried, golden. We planned every frame of their Amalfi ceremony around the falling sun, beginning with quiet preparations in a lemon grove and ending with first-dance silhouettes against a violet sea.

Rather than directing poses, I spent the day moving like a guest who happened to carry a camera. The result is a record of glances, laughter and small rituals: a grandmother straightening a veil, salt air loosening carefully pinned hair, two families becoming one over long tables of candlelight.

The couple received a 320-image gallery and a hand-bound fine art album. Their favourite frame — the two of them barefoot on warm stone, faces lit only by the horizon — now hangs over their fireplace at one and a half metres wide.

Behind the scenes

Shot across fourteen hours with two camera bodies, a 35mm and an 85mm prime, and zero artificial light until the dance floor opened. The cliffside portraits required a thirty-minute hike in formal shoes — worth every step.
